1) What are your rates?

Studio A is $250 a day.

2) What does this include?

Studio A includes use of the live room, dead room and guitar room as well as access to all gear listed under Studio A on the Gear Page.   If you would like to use anything listed as ‘floating’ please tell us when you send in your deposit to be sure it’s available for your session.

3) What’s that you say about a deposit?

Your session is not considered booked until we receive $150/day deposit from you.  This deposit is fully refundable more than 15 days from the start of your session.  After that, if you must cancel, we’re going to keep your deposit.  Sorry, but we’ve got to pay our bills too.   The balance of the session fees are due at the start of the session.

4) What about an engineer?

Of course you will most likely need an engineer to help run your session.  We can help pair you up with one of our house engineers or you can find one on your own.   If they are not someone who’s worked here enough actually know how things work you will need to hire an assistant who does.  Assistants start at $100/day.

5) I/My Buddy already know(s) how to operate Pro Tools why do I have to pay for an assistant?

There are ton of things that go into keeping our studio running, from knowing where the panels on the wall show up in the patchbay to knowing where we keep the dish soap and trashbags.  Also we have some awesome gear, much of it requires special knowledge not to accidentally blow up.  I assure you, an assistant is a whole lot cheaper than replacing the a vintage microphone or tube amp.

6) What if I don’t need the whole day?

First off: why wouldn’t you wouldn’t you want the whole day?  A chance to relax and actually eat a good breakfast before working on your creative masterpiece.  The reality is no one is ever finished in the studio as quickly as they think.   Instead of an uncomfortable reminder that your time is up we’d prefer you have the whole day to get what you need to done.

7) But I really only need an hour or two!

Really?  Really really?   Gives us a ring and explain the project and we’ll see what we can do.  The hourly rate is $75/ hour with a 2 hour minimum with one of our house engineers.
