UnderCover Presents and Faultline Studios are excited to announce the upcoming tribute to Sly & The Family Stone’s 1969 breakout album Stand! This seminal funk album is re-imagined on the stage by some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians, curated by Guest Music Director David Möschler. David’s vision brings us some jazz and soul sounds as well as some adventurous orchestral stylings and a hip-hop/classical mashup.
Get your groove on at the Independent Friday, January 17th or Saturday, January 18th at 7.30 p.m. A studio album (produced by Faultline’s Yosh!) of the project is included with the ticket price.
***Encore Night Added! Sunday January 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the Independent.***
Black Sabbath officially released Paranoid to the US in 1971 and to date it is one of their most popular and influential albums. This May, Faultline Studios and UnderCover Presents are thrilled to re-introduce Paranoid as you've never imagined it before.
Guest Musical Director Cornelius Boots has selected a line up of bay area musicians based on their ability to shred — whether that’s a trumpet, a guitar or vocally, the line up is chocked full of musicians at the top of their game. Ranging from a full marching band to gamelan ensemble to straight up rock band the night promises a musical journey like no other.
Come check out these bands throw down Saturday May 19th at The Independent. Studio album of the project (produced by Faultline’s own Yosh!) is included in the ticket price.
Tune in now to KALX 90.7 FM and listen for previews of the album as well as a chance to win tickets to the show.
