Friday, August 26th Faultline Studios unveild their latest venture with new partner, Rockolito Music.

Rockolito Music is a music production and publishing company formed by Juan Manuel Caipo in 2006.
Caipo is a producer, mixing engineer, composer and musician based in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 15 years experience in the business. His influences range from Hard Rock, Punk, Pop, Folk to Reggae, Hip Hop, Electronic and Latin music. He is also a co-founding member of the Latin Alternative/Rap group Bang Data.

Bang Data was born in early 2008, bringing you a mix of slick and melodic guitar, gritty synth & bass, over banging electro-acoustic rhythms; making it the perfect canvas for Deuce Eclipse’s bilingual rhymes and melodies. Bang Data’s sound is a mash-up of styles combining hints of Latin, Reggae, Hip-Hop & Rock triggering memories of music you once grew up with yet offering a futuristic vision of Latin Alternative music.

Bang Data are Deuce Eclipse on vocals and Juan Manuel Caipo on drums. On stage they are joined by Marco Guzman on bass with Paul Crespo and Michael Cavaseno on guitar. They deliver a live performance that is edgy, energetic and contagious pushing the songs from their debut EP, Maldito Carnaval, even further.
Maldito Carnaval was recorded and mixed by Caipo and includes 7 songs that take you from a Samba-Ska-Cumbia and Electro-Bossanova to a Synth Bass Heavy “Stooges” infested beat. Also featured is a heartfelt arrangement of Piero’s ’70’s Latin American classic song “Mi Viejo” – a tribute to all immigrant fathers. The EP has special guest performances by Karl Perrazzo from Santana, Steve Bradley from No Doubt and Amplive from Zion-I. Bang Data’s single, Toro Mata featuring Eva Ayllon, is blowing up the latino scene and was featured on iTunes for weeks.

Some of the other artists Caipo has worked with are Nicole Scherzinger, Karl Perrazzo, Flipsyde, Dave Shul, Triple Cobra, Dave Rude, Orixa. His clients include Google, Digidesign, Fisher Price, Apple, Carls Jr, Showtime, VH1, MTV, PBS, SAP, Universal Ark 21, Interscope, NBC, Telemundo and Univision.

About the room,  it will feature a ProTools HD3 system with nice pres, mics, outboard gear and synths to handle most any project. The goal is to have a more cost effective alternative to Studio A and mirror some of the same gear for seamless work between the 2 studios. It’s the perfect space for programming, producing and mixing but, will also feature an isolation area for tracking vocals and other acoustic instruments.

Studio D is now booking so give us a ring to take a tour!
